Epiphany of Love for the Environment: Carabinieri Bring Hope and Nature to Hospitalized Children
In a heartwarming display of solidarity and environmental awareness, the Forestry Carabinieri are promoting a special day of environmental education and solidarity, dubbed the “Befana of Biodiversity.” This initiative aims to bring joy and a connection to nature to hospitalized children and healthcare personnel across Italy. Over 100 Carabinieri will visit pediatric departments in 41 hospital facilities, as well as family homes, sharing symbols of nature and hope with more than 1350 children.
A Symbol of Hope and Nature
The Carabinieri will deliver gadgets such as notebooks, pencils, hats, paints, canvas backpacks, and playing cards to alleviate the pain of young patients. These gifts will not only bring smiles to the children’s faces but also share images and sensations related to biodiversity, allowing them to virtually connect with nature. The objective is to convey to children the knowledge and love for nature, highlighting the importance of preserving our environment. The Carabinieri Biodiversity Group manages 150 State Natural Reserves and State Forests, exceptional habitats where rare and beautiful animal and plant species thrive.
A Long-Standing Tradition in Rome
In Rome, the Carabinieri will visit the Sandro Pertini Hospital and the Umberto I Polyclinic, where this event has been successfully promoted for several years. The hospital staff has always supported the initiative with great enthusiasm, and the Carabinieri are grateful for their collaboration. This partnership has made a significant impact on the children and families involved, promoting a sense of community and environmental awareness.
A Meaningful Initiative
This initiative is a testament to the Carabinieri’s commitment to environmental education and solidarity. By bringing nature and hope to hospitalized children, they are not only alleviating their pain but also inspiring a love for the environment. As we celebrate the Epiphany, this event serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving our planet for future generations. For more information on this heartwarming initiative, visit Here
