Introduction to The Lake Como Edition
The Lake Como Edition, developed by Edition Hotels, Omnam Investment Group, and Bain Capital, is a luxury hotel that has been born from the intervention of a historic nineteenth-century structure. This project aims to relaunch the structure, reinterpreting it for today’s international traveler. The hotel is part of the Edition global portfolio, which includes facilities in cities such as London, New York, Tokyo, and Riviera Maya, bringing a unique vision to the lake, combining hospitality, design, gastronomy, and well-being in dialogue with the natural and cultural context of the territory.
The Lake Como Edition is located in a nineteenth-century structure, and its design is a perfect blend of historical memory and contemporary language.
A Project that Dialogues with the Territory
Located on the western shore of Lake Como, in Cadenabbia, the hotel is situated in a building originally built in 1830 and overlooks the Bellagio promontory. The intervention preserves the historical identity of the property, inserting it into a contemporary story that recalls the Italian tradition of holidays, understood as a slow and prolonged stay.
Design between Historical Memory and Contemporary Language
The architectural project was born from the collaboration between Edition, the study Neri&Hu, and architects From.Thales. The nineteenth-century building, already known as The London, maintains its original proportions, the high vaults of the lobby, and the arched connections between the common spaces, reinterpreted through materials such as marble, terracotta, and natural surfaces. At the entrance, a teak portal opens onto an environment marked by a sculptural marble staircase, inspired by the material sensitivity of Carlo Scarpa. Vegetation is an integral part of the project, creating a visual continuity between interiors and the lake landscape.

Spaces Designed to Experience the Lake
The common areas are conceived as fluid places, capable of alternating sociality and privacy. The lobby houses the Lobby Bar, an identifying element of the Edition brand, flanked by a lounge with piano, fireplace, and billiard table. The floor-to-ceiling windows open up the view of the lake, while terraces and outdoor restaurants accompany the rhythm of the day.

These spaces are designed to welcome not only hotel guests but also a local and international community in a continuous dialogue between hospitality and territory.
The Rooms, between Comfort and Sobriety
The hotel has 148 rooms, including 25 suites, two penthouses, and nine rooms in the historic Villa Gina. The interiors focus on a color palette inspired by the waters of the lake, with custom-made walnut furnishings, Calacatta marble surfaces, and brass details.

Gastronomy Signed by Mauro Colagreco
One of the pillars of the project is the food and wine proposal, led by chef Mauro Colagreco, three Michelin stars and Green Star at Mirazur in Menton. For his first structured experience in Italy, Colagreco signs four culinary concepts, each with its own identity.

The signature restaurant Cetino offers contemporary cuisine that enhances the essence of the ingredients, with a free and convivial approach. Renzo, all-day dining with a panoramic terrace, reinterprets Italian tradition in a domestic and shared key.

The Lake as an Extension of the Hotel
The hotel overlooks the pedestrian route of the Lake Como Greenway, connecting Cadenabbia to Tremezzo and Lenno. A private dock allows arrival by boat and access to exclusive tours on the lake, while a floating pool completes the outdoor experience, integrating the restaurant and lounge bar directly on the water.

Wellbeing and Longevity at the Center of the Experience
The wellness project finds space in the Longevity Spa, developed in collaboration with The Longevity Suite Group. The spa integrates scientific approaches to longevity with holistic practices and advanced treatments, offering paths of rebalancing, regeneration, and recovery.

The Lake Como Edition: palestra
