With less than a month to go before the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics (6-22 February), the notion of sold-out hotels and holiday homes, especially in Milan, is not yet a reality. A quick search on the main booking portals reveals that in the Lombard capital, there is no shortage of availability. What’s missing, however, are affordable prices, particularly in hostels, as rates have skyrocketed in anticipation of the Olympic Games.
