Terre d’Oltrepò Crisis: New Developments in the Acquisition Process
The situation surrounding the management of Terre d’Oltrepò continues to unfold, with new developments emerging in the acquisition process. Following the announcement of initial contacts between the Cooperative Blue Hill and grape producers from Terre d’Oltrepò, under the supervision of high regional officials, another major player has expressed interest in purchasing the winery. According to Milano Pavia TV, the winery “Losito and Guarini” has sent a certified email to the commissioner and sole administrator of Terre d’Oltrepo, Zingone and Cocconi, indicating their interest in acquiring the company.

Losito and Guarini’s proposal is not binding and is open to different formulas, including the involvement of other parties or mutualistic forms. The company has evaluated several investment opportunities as part of its growth and diversification strategy, and the possible acquisition of Terre d’Oltrepò is one of them. Despite learning about the interest of another company through local press, Losito and Guarini believe it is legitimate to wait for a formal response to their application.

Denial of Interest from Cantine Riunite and Civ
Contrary to previous reports, Cantine Riunite & Civ has denied interest in acquiring Terre d’Oltrepò. The Lombardy Region’s agriculture department has confirmed that the Collis cooperative is willing to acquire Terre and provide continuity to the company. Regional councilor Alessandro Beduschi stated that definitive choices must be made by the end of the month to avoid putting the 2026 harvest at risk.

The acquisition process involves not only financial considerations, such as the selling price of the company and its share capital, but also technical, logistical, and organizational aspects. For instance, guarantees of a minimum quantity of grapes and the future of the three wineries that make up Terre d’Oltrepò are crucial factors to be taken into account. Each winery refers to different territories, with unique characteristics that should be considered in the acquisition process.
