Alice Pasquini: A Pioneer in Feminine Street Art
Join Drago for an exclusive aperitivo and meet Alice Pasquini, a Rome-based artist and one of the most influential figures in contemporary international street art, on Monday, December 15, from 6:30–9:00 pm at Six Senses Rome, Piazza di San Marcello.
A Celebration of Street Art and Femininity
The evening centers on Crossroads, the first anthology dedicated to Alice Pasquini’s work, which offers an intimate look at her artistic journey and visual language. This comprehensive publication spans over 300 pages, featuring 200 images alongside original sketchbook extracts, and includes a foreword by editor Paulo von Vacano, texts by Jessica Stewart, and contributions from renowned journalists and cultural figures such as Nicolas Ballario (Rolling Stone), Stephen Heyman (The New York Times), and Steven P. Harrington and Jaime Rojo (Brooklyn Street Art).
For over a decade, Pasquini has been transforming city walls across the globe into spaces of narrative and emotion, integrating women and children into the urban fabric. Her work ranges from large-scale murals, such as the iconic wall at the Museo Italiano in Melbourne, to subtle interventions in cities including London and Marseille. Her artistic footprint can be found in numerous cities worldwide, including Sydney, New York, Barcelona, Oslo, Moscow, Paris, Copenhagen, Marrakech, Berlin, Saigon, Buenos Aires, Singapore, and Rome.
Artistic Background and Expertise
Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Pasquini has lived and worked in Great Britain, France, and Spain, earning an MA in Critical Art Studies from Universidad Complutense in Madrid. Her practice moves fluidly between street art, painting, installation, and three-dimensional experimentation, often using found materials. Pasquini’s work has been exhibited internationally at institutions such as the Saatchi Gallery in London, MACRO in Rome, the Museo Italiano in Melbourne, the American Embassy in Rome, Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris, and many others.
She has collaborated with prominent brands including Nike, Canon, Microsoft, Toyota, and Range Rover, illustrated the graphic novel Vertigine (Rizzoli, 2011), and has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, l’Espresso, and Panorama. In 2016, she was included in the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia, a testament to her significant contribution to the art world.
Limited Edition Print: “THE SELF PAGE”
During the event, Pasquini will also present “THE SELF PAGE”, a limited edition print created in 2025 and recently displayed on the wall of the Salone Internazionale del Libro in Turin. The print measures 30 × 42 cm (with margin), is a digital print on baryta paper (300 g), and is hand-signed and numbered on the front. This exclusive edition is limited to 100 prints, making it a unique opportunity for art enthusiasts to own a piece of Pasquini’s work.
Printed in Italy on museum-quality paper, “THE SELF PAGE” is a must-have for anyone interested in contemporary street art and femininity. The evening promises to be an unforgettable experience, allowing attendees to meet the artist, explore her work, and celebrate contemporary street art in an intimate setting.
