Armani Expands Luxury Hotel Empire with New Global Ventures

The Italian fashion powerhouse, Armani, is poised to launch a series of luxury hotels worldwide, building on its successful experiences in Dubai and Milan. The move comes four months after the passing of the company’s founder, Giorgio Armani, and is part of a joint venture with Symphony Global, a private investment firm led by Emirati entrepreneur Mohamed Alabbar. This partnership, which has a 20-year duration with a 10-year renewal option, aims to develop Armani Hotels & Resorts in select international destinations, leveraging the brand’s expertise in luxury hospitality.

A New Chapter in Luxury Hospitality

The joint venture, based in both Milan and Dubai, will focus on two distinct luxury destination models. The first will feature high-end Armani Hotels, similar to the existing properties in Dubai and Milan, as well as a forthcoming location in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, scheduled to open in 2027. The second model will cater to a younger demographic, offering a lifestyle-oriented approach to luxury hospitality, particularly in the Middle East and Asia. According to Giuseppe Marsocci, CEO of the Armani Group, “This joint venture builds on a partnership that has already proven its strength over time. The success of the Armani Hotel Dubai and Armani Hotel Milano, together with the upcoming Armani Hotel in Diriyah Gate, Riyadh, clearly demonstrates how our design philosophy and approach to hospitality have a strong appeal for today’s global luxury customer.”

Armani’s Commitment to Excellence

The Armani Group will be involved in various aspects of the hotel development process, including architecture, interiors, furnishings, materials, lighting, and service standards, ensuring that the brand’s aesthetic of understated elegance is maintained throughout. This approach has already been successfully implemented in residential and mixed-use projects in New York, Miami, and London. By expanding its luxury hotel portfolio, Armani is solidifying its position as a leader in the global hospitality industry, while also honoring the legacy of its founder and his commitment to excellence.
