Las Vegas Transforms into the Capital of Technological Innovation: CES 2026

As the new year begins, Las Vegas has once again become the hub of technological innovation, hosting the world’s most important trade fair, CES 2026. The event, which officially starts on January 6th and runs until January 9th, has already seen some companies unveiling their latest news. Among the attendees is Italy, represented by 51 startups that arrived in the USA through a mission organized by Area Science Park. These startups are showcasing a range of innovative projects, including exoskeletons, chatbots for purchases, digital protection solutions, and extended reality and 3D projects.

Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Take Center Stage

A notable trend at the Consumer Electronic Show is the integration of artificial intelligence and small robots. For instance, the startup Takway has created an evolution of the tamagotchi equipped with AI, while the Japanese company Ludens AI has introduced Cocomo and Inu, two interactive animals that can walk around the house or sit on a desk, responding to voice commands. Another example is Vex, a sphere that follows dogs and cats into the rooms they are in to monitor their activities. These innovations demonstrate the potential of AI and robotics to enhance our daily lives.

Home Care and Automation

The combination of robotics and AI is also being applied to home care, with companies like LG introducing humanoid robots designed to perform tasks such as folding clothes or loading the dishwasher. The idea is to create a completely communicating environment, where appliances can notify the robot of their status or perform tasks autonomously. For example, LG’s Cloid can be notified by the washing machine when a cycle is complete, or the refrigerator can open its doors to allow the robot to check what is missing. Other companies, like SwitchBot, are taking this concept further with robots that can tidy children’s rooms and prepare coffee.

Other Notable Innovations

In addition to robotics and home automation, the CES 2026 is also featuring updates to existing devices, such as new series of Samsung televisions and projectors, LG monitors and laptops, and Belkin accessories for smartphones and video games. Furthermore, companies like Plaud are introducing innovative gadgets, such as NotePin, a device that can be attached to a jacket or worn as a pendant to record work meetings and transcribe them in 112 languages. These advancements demonstrate the rapid pace of technological progress and the potential for innovation to improve our daily lives.
