The actor has stated that he was ready to resign from the role, but fortunately, neither Rai nor the producers of the series ever took this opportunity into consideration.
The new season will also see the return of familiar faces, including Nino Frassica, Giulia Mezzanotte, Captain Diego Martini, Natalina, and Pippo. New characters will also be introduced, including Caterina Provvedi, the new Marshal of the Carabinieri, and Maria, a pregnant girl with no memory who will play a central role in the story.
