Napoli Secures 1-0 Victory Over Cagliari, Moves into Second Place
Napoli has won its fourth consecutive match, defeating Cagliari 1-0 in a Serie A match played in advance of the 30th day of the championship. This victory allows Napoli to overtake Milan and settle into second place, six points behind Inter. The match started well for Napoli, with a goal from McTominay in the 2nd minute, and was controlled from start to finish.
The goal was scored after a melee broke out in front of Caprile, with Buongiorno shooting and the ball hitting the post after a deflection from the rossoblù goalkeeper himself. McTominay was well-placed on the rebound and extended his foot, pushing the ball to the bottom of the bag.

Match Analysis
The match was largely controlled by Napoli, with Cagliari struggling to create scoring opportunities. In the 20th minute, the Sardinians’ reaction came with Esposito, who stole the ball from Olivera and shot to the far post, wide. In the 36th minute, the first and only shot on target came from Zè Pedro, saved by Milinkovic Savic. Napoli tried to wake up the game in the 7th minute of the second half with two shots from De Bruyne and Politano, both blocked by Caprile.

Cagliari’s coach, Pisacane, tried to change the course of the game by introducing young players, including Kilicsoy, Mendy, Raterink, and Trepy, but it was not enough to change the outcome. The match ended with a 1-0 victory for Napoli, who now waits for the next match, while Cagliari looks down, increasingly interested in what Cremonese is doing.
