Italy’s Capital City: Rome

Rome, the Eternal City, has a rich program of events planned for New Year’s Eve. The festivities begin at 9 pm with a free concert at the Circus Maximus, featuring Tananai, Alessandra Amoroso, and Fabri Fibra. Additionally, the Planetarium will host meetings with astronomers until midday, where visitors can learn about stars, constellations, and deep sky objects. Guided walks to discover the city’s monuments, places, and spaces are also available, organized by the curators of the Capitoline Superintendence. Reservations can be made by calling 060608, every day from 9 am to 7 pm.

Naples: A City of Fireworks and Music

Naples, a city known for its vibrant culture, will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a collective ritual, involving the entire city. At midnight, the neighborhoods, hills, sea, and Vesuvius will become a single luminous stage with thousands of fireworks lit simultaneously. A photographic exhibition, ‘Napoli Explosion’ by Mario Amura, will be on display at the Real Albergo dei Poveri, capturing the essence of the city’s celebrations. Another exhibition, ‘Totò and his Naples’ at Palazzo Reale, will showcase the bond between the great actor and the Campania capital.

Other Italian Cities: Agrigento, Parma, and Ferrara

Agrigento will host a New Year’s concert in Piazza Marconi, featuring Noemi, while the young band ‘Dixit’ will entertain the audience before the concert. Parma will welcome the contemporary circus with the show Les Dodos, and Alex Britti will perform in concert in Piazza Garibaldi. Ferrara will host a unique end-of-year show, with music, activities for adults and children, and a grandiose fire of the Castle with scenographic and colorful fireworks displays.

International Celebrations: Vienna, Paris, Madrid, and London

Vienna will greet the new year with the famous New Year’s Concert of the Philharmonic Orchestra in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein. Paris will host a show of lights and music on the Champs Elysées, with video mapping projections on the façade of the Arc de Triomphe.
