Giorgia Meloni Maintains Lead in Popularity Rankings
The first survey of the new year has been released, and Giorgia Meloni is still firmly in command in the ranking of the most popular leaders. The Prime Minister leads the ranking with 46.8% of the votes and sees her lead increase by 0.2% compared to 18 December, the date of the last survey. This is what emerges from the survey carried out by Tecnè for the Dire agency with interviews conducted between 7 and 8 January.
Ranking of Party Leaders
The leader of Forza Italia, Antonio Tajani, confirms himself in second position with 39.6% (+0.2%), while the M5s president, Giuseppe Conte, is stable on the lowest step of the podium with 31% (+0.1%). The secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, loses 0.1% and reaches 28.7%. The leader of the Carroccio, Matteo Salvini, is fifth, at 27% (+0.1%). Then we find the leader of Action, Carlo Calenda (21.5%), Angelo Bonelli (16%), Nicola Fratoianni (15.8%); Riccardo Magi (13.5%) and Matteo Renzi (13.4%).
Party Preferences
On the side of party preferences, Brothers of Italy confirms itself in first place, while the consensus of the Democratic Party and Forza Italia increases, and that of the 5 Star Movement decreases. The prime minister’s party remains in the lead with 31.1%, unchanged compared to the last survey. The Democratic Party follows at 21.6% (+0.2); then M5s at 12.1% (+0.2); Forza Italia at 10.5% (-0.2); Lega at 8.3% (-0.1). Then Avs at 6.4% (+0.1); Action at 3.3% (+0.1); Italy Alive at 2.2% (+0.1) and finally +Europa at 1.5% (+0.1%).
