IV Sorrento Film & Food Festival: A Celebration of Cinema and Cuisine

The IV Sorrento Film & Food Festival has officially kicked off at the Teatro Tasso in Sorrento, Italy, and will run until January 6th. The event, promoted in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Campania Region, promises to be an exciting celebration of film, food, and culture. Inauguration and Special Guests

The festival was inaugurated by Gary Stretch, Phil Palmer, Dessy Tenetekajieva, and Amadeo Minghi, setting the tone for a spectacular event. Among the notable guests in attendance were Nolan Funk, Meadow Williams, and Kristos Andrews, who are part of the cast of the highly anticipated thriller “Eternity,” scheduled for release in 2026. The screenwriter, Celeste Fianna, was also present. The announcement of “Eternity” was made by producer and co-star Meadow Williams, accompanied by special guest and festival president Daniel McVicar.

“Eternity” – A Glimpse into the Future of Thrillers

“Eternity,” directed by Jamie Marshall, is an erotic thriller that follows the story of a charming con man who boards a luxury yacht in the Mediterranean with a rich socialite, navigating through twists, secrets, and emotional tension. The film, shot in stunning locations such as Rome, Portofino, and Greece, promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. With its unique blend of intrigue, romance, and suspense, “Eternity” is expected to make a significant impact in the world of cinema in 2026.

Awards and Recognition

During the evening, several awards were presented to deserving individuals for their contributions to music, film, and cuisine. Musicians Marco Zurzolo and Moreno Conficconi, director Mimmo Calopresti, and young talents Martina Ferragamo, Simone Coppo, and Luigi Zeno were among those recognized. Additionally, three great Italian chefs, Antonino Montefusco, Stefano Marzetti, and Claudio Conti, were awarded for their culinary excellence. Massimo Cirillo, founder of the LiaSti restaurant in Mykonos, and Claudio Piazzolla, patron of the historic Da Claudio a Ibiza, were recognized as ambassadors of Italian cuisine in the world. These awards were presented by Senator Giorgio Maria Bergesio and the Honorable Ginni Cangiano, highlighting the festival’s commitment to celebrating talent and excellence.
